Names: Brian Sullivan – Registered Massage Therapist | Jackie Sullivan – Line Loader for Krug Furniture
Hometown: Kitchener, Ontario
Why are you in PEI? Brian has never been to PEI. Jackie was when she was a child with her family. We always travel to Caribbean islands or go on cruises so we thought it was time to see some of Canada.
What kind of RV/ Mobile Home? 1989 GMC Vandura
What do you love about your van? We love that it used to belong to Jackie’s sister Maddy. Maddy passed away at the age of 53 from Stage 4 Lung Cancer last year. This used to be her van. We call the van “Maddy’s Dream”. Some other things we like about the van, it has a queen size bed, a fridge, and a tv & vcr.
What do you dislike about your van? The paint job.
Best food you have ate in Canada while on the road? In Georgetown PEI, we went to a convenience store that had a little restaurant in the back. We can’t remember the name. They had the best Fish & Chips ***Full Time Canada investigated and we believe it is Daryl’s General Store & Restaurant***
Most famous person you have met? Our chocolate lab Rufus has been on television twice for the Kitchener Humane Society. He has taken part in a few of their fundraisers and always ends up on television.
Most interesting sight/day you have experienced while in your van? Basin Head, PEI. Gorgeous!
What is the scariest thing that has happened to you while travelling in your RV? While going through Quebec, about 100 motorcyclists surrounded us. They were doing wheelies and one person almost fell off. There were so many of them ahead of us, behind us, all around. Jackie was panicking that we would hit one. They had a person in a car videoing the stunts. Once they were gone, we looked up what that was about on the internet. Apparently this is a huge problem in Quebec. These stunt bikers go around and do this and the police can’t catch them because there are too many of them.
Where is the one place you wish you could take the RV but couldn’t do so easily? Arizona and travel all through the States. We don’t have the time or money, right now.
One place you would recommend fellow RVers visit? Cape Breton, Nova Scotia.
