When Kate McCallum and Adam Doolittle lost their radio jobs after many years in commercial broadcasting, it felt like the end of the world.
In fact, going off the air was just the beginning, as the couple decided to tune into another way of living.

Adam Doolittle and partner Catharine McCallum lost their radio jobs in New Brunswick, in 2015.
It turned out to be a kind of epiphany for the couple.
“We decided that we were both done with typical 9 to 5 jobs, paying rent or a mortgage, and owning too much stuff,” says Doolittle, who grew up in Bradford West Gwillimbury.
